2016 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Corris Grey
Just picked up new FF

So, just picked it up picture below, apologies for quality, iPhone snap in poor light

Very hard to draw many conclusions in comparison to previous l322 (4.4 tdv8), just 100 miles down motorway to home, but so far...

- so much smoother than previous which I was surprised at, my understanding was that MY2012 had similar running gear to the new L405 - much closer to a car than previous and makes even the last of the old model feel agricultural in comparison
- I believe this model is bigger than the last but I actually thought it felt smaller, both internally and driving. I am not small but not massive either, could feel edges of seat digging into hips - may just be a seat adjustment needed
- infotainment - wasn't expecting to be impressed and sadly wasn't - whilst I am sure I will adjust to the new colours, I did find navigating around screens awkward and slow. Whilst I am sure familiarity will help the speed was surprisingly lethargic.
- engine sounded more like a v8 which was a nice surprise
- very impressed with internal finish, felt (apart from hips!) very luxurious
- hand over and management by dealer was exceptional, topped off with a bottle of wine and a bone for the dog as a present!!

Sure I will report more, ask questions as I spend more time driving.

Cheers Razz

Sorry didn't say, It is a 4.4SDV8 autobiography - MY2016.5

Didn't go for many optional extras except privacy glass/tow bar. I did however change my mind last minute and opt for the 21" wheels rather than the 22", predominantly on the back of a recommendation from (I believe) BasilF. When I went to pick the car up there were two next to each other, mine and a black one, the black one had the 22" wheels and they did look good but the grey returns/sides of the spokes on the 21" really did look so much better, just as BasilF (I think) had said.

Thanks to all for input on purchasing/option decisions and also those that helped in sale of old one. Have to take kids to a netball tournament tomorrow at 6.30am...quite looking forward to it Thumbs Up

Not one to blow my own trumpet that often but it was actually me that gave you the advice with that particular wheel as it's the ones I've had on my last two 405's and prefer them to the 22's on my first one. Thumbs Up

And not wanting to stick a wet towel in that same trumpet but there's an entire thread dedicated to that very 21" wheel, many of us peasants in L322's have put the Jimmy Choo's on our flea ridden feet Very Happy Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........
