IIDtool and a replacement instrument pack [SOLVED]

Hi All,

Does anyone know if I can "code" a used replacement instrument pack into my 2003 l322 using the brilliant IIDtool?

Mine has just come back from the repair shop as unrepairable so I've just bought a good, guaranteed used one.

I've searched around and can't find anything definitive.

Just don't want to go to the dealers and be told I need a new one.....

Regards to all. ______________________________

I don't know, but GAP's customer service is always fast and first rate. If it can be done, they'll know how and be able to walk you through it.

Hi,

Just spoken the guys at Gap and it's all sorted. Apparently you can change the instrument pack but you'll get a dot next to the trip meter to indicate you've done so.

Also if the mileage is greater on the replacement than the original, then the greater of the two will be displayed. Alternatively if the mileage on the replacement is less than the original then the original will be displayed, this obviously avoids any discrepancies in mileage or the means to clock your cars mileage.
