+1 for Varta. The Varta AGM unit lasted me ages and was still good when I sold the car. AGM are better at coping with deeper discharge (think FBH) but still have the CCA for a cold start. |

Most TDV8 owners who switched to the Bosch have had a long term poor experience.

The JLR battery is 90AMP with 950 cold crank. On paper the Bosch 'should' out perform it. It clearly doesn't so I think I'll bite the bullet if this latest S5 bails out on me.

After a poor experience of the Bosch S5, I bought a JLR battery for our tdv8. That was back in January. Used the FBH and has never missed a beat. I will have to look at the cca and capacity, but I know it is no where near the capacity of the S5.

In my jaguar ownership days, I used a company called Aldridge trimming, I sent the whole seat base off, and they replaced the leather seat pices, and very reasonable, I don't know if they can help you, but are a dedicated trimming company.

Ok, so just off a call from ECP and they are happy for me to swap for "whatever will work"...they also acknowledged that they have had a few S5's back when used in larger engines.

the other option instead of a secondary battery is to fit some supercapacitors instead of a second battery FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

it's the latest edition but if you are expecting roads to appear you may be suprised, it's got very few of the new roads around me on it, it still seams to be 3 years out of date.
