My CD player was having problems playing CDs, whereby they would play for a few seconds and then stop.

The unit was removed for repair (I think a new laser was fitted) but when reinstalled there was no sound.

Sound before, no sound after. Fix one problem, create another.......

All other audio is working, though. Radio, TV etc.

Seems to have the dealer a bit stumped.

I have read a few threads about water ingress in the boot being a potential contributor, but wondering if there may be other ideas??

I'm about to buy a replacement CD player, but I'm not quite convinced this will resolve it.
