It's possible that they can be converted. I remember looking at this idea a couple of years ago. It may be worth re-visiting this idea. If it costs £200 for a diesel fbh and £50 to convert it to petrol then that's a no brainer.

It may be worth an e-mail to Webasto.

I fit them in my catering conversions.
Webasto have specifically warned me off buying fitting and supplying the petrol version?

I think that's why so few are fitted to FF's and other petrols in general.

They were fitted to any petrol vogue where the buyer ticked that option. As with BMW's, VW's and Audi's.

If Webasto didn't want to sell a petrol one then they wouldn't have developed one. The more likely story is that as 90% of FBH's are diesel and the knowledge even at Webasto on the petrol variant is a bit thin.

Also the Webasto fitters/dealers obviously are not actually Webasto. When I rang my local authorised webasto fitter/repairer they said there is no such thing as a petrol fbh and I didn't know what I was talking about.

thanks for all the replys.

I am still looking for one. Does anybody know some good range rover dismantlers that might have this ?

for those that do have a petrol engine heater, how well do they work? It seems like a really great system.

I would doubt you'll find one in a breakers.

They are great, they heat the engine to just off the blue mark and ensure the car is defrosted. Although at -6 this morning it was only just defrosted and the ice water had started to freeze again because I was late getting to the car. Normally its like this:
