Why not bolt on a belt driven compressor with clutch activation like a AC compressor. Then have it run when the engine goes into overrun or brakes are applied, that way using regenerative energy in the immediate run up to when your going to need the next boost. I.e,when you decelerate its a likely expectation you'll accelerate immediately after. A motor pump bolted on the side of an blue cl would burn out in no time. V8 or else ...
