I’ve noticed that my adaptive cruise control routinely stops working at a specific point on the M27 motorway (eastbound at the Hedge End junction), and remains unavailable for about 8 miles, presumably while it resets/recalibrates itself. It’s done it 4 or 5 times so far in exactly the same place - cruise set at 50mph just stops working. The forward alert symbol flashes yellow, shows as turned off on the menu and will not turn on. Cruise control just says ‘cruise control not available’.

About 7 or 8 miles down the road, the yellow flashing stops and everything starts working again.

Yesterday I tried turning everything off before I passed through the junction, but it still did the same thing - yelllow flashing light and nothing would work until 2 junctions further down the road.

I have come to the conclusion that there must be some sort of radar signal at that junction which upsets the radar sensor on the car - anyone else had similar experience?

Was thinking the exact same as you as on 2 recent trips to goodwood and one last year mine has reacted the same. Never had an issue anywhere else.

Created an account (and sorry for bumping an old thread) to say I am searching around Google because my sensor failed last night in the exact same stretch of road! Recalibrated just as you said later...

Exactly the same happened to me last night coming from Southampton to Whiteley.

At the Whiteley junction, I turned the car off and back on and all was fine again.

I wonder what’s causing this?
