I see you are in Leeds too. Thinking of having mine done. If you don't mind me asking where is it getting done and how much are they quoting? Thanks |

I'm actually getting it done at a garage that I know the owner - Automatic Transmissions in Huddersfield - I'm sure there are not unscrupulous garages out there but I'd rather know the work has been done rather than someone telling me it has been done.

I just had the D3 done at JGS 4x4 in Isham, Kettering, they have a brand new machine and they did a full flush, cleaning solution, then added STP additives into the fill up. Cost £260

Just called JGS to enquire on cost for my FFRR, the guy explained the process. I told him he's been recommended by you RRUK, ask for commission next time It a 4 hour round trip but i'd rather go to someone that's recommended Dave 2012 Vogue Westminster 4.4 |

Lots of people add in things like Dr Tranny or STP, they are to reduce heat, improve changes, shuddering etc that are common on older boxes.

Cost should be the same as mine I'd imagine. They were a really nice bunch of guys, I'd use them again. But its a gearbox and not an engine and not subjected to the by-products of combustion - so not a fair comparison
