United Kingdom 2002 Range Rover HSE 4.4 V8 Alveston Red
[sold]2002 4.4 V8 LPG. NOW SOLD

Time to move on to ...? I don’t know what yet.
2002 V8 lpg, 138k miles, book of receipts, service history not fully up to date if I recall but will check. About 8 months mot remaining, new alternator, belts, rocker cover gasket, tyres pretty good, alveston red, low range works etc. Tow bar, diagnostic tool, new suspension height sensor on rear. This morning it needs a new front air suspension sensor - will order and change if I get time.

Bad bits :
Cat c , bodywork has few marks and usual arch rust, front bumper has marks and showing age, interior grubby - been well used at the horses carrying all manner of related gumpf, oil leak - nothing major, parking sensors not working but have replacements. Vanos sounds noisy on very cold mornings but soon goes once warmed up. One key

Probably missed a load. Pm me for any more info. Love the car but time to let it go . Used and somewhat abused so don’t expect anything mint. £2000 break it / off road it for that money . Please note roof rack not included as sold

Has it ever had any gearbox work? Does the gearbox leak? Does it change as it should without any clonks or bangs? Current stable:

Gone:

No gearbox work that I’m aware of. Works well- I believe the box in the V8 is far better than the td6 one

I wasn’t expecting much especially after the garage took it round to their workshop and had a quick look round it and put it on the ramp. Has an oil leak which got progressively worse, getting rattly on start up and what forced the issue today was foot down on a dual carriageway to see the cars behind disappear in a cloud of oily blue smoke.

Wasn’t going to spend another penny keeping it on the road as it developed something new every week. It’s old and passed the point of economical repair and the will power to persevere any more! Shall miss the driving experience but not the sick feeling of will it won’t it
