C0255 is the plug that takes all the power/signals to the seat, it is yellow so also has air bag control wires as well.... |

But it is not connected to any where it is black i guess @haylands |

If it's not connected then the seat won't work at all and you would have an air bag malfunction light on...

Having stripped my seat down to fix the heating elements I think you'll find that plug goes into the other side of the yellow connector that Hayland has shown. To make life easier the yellow plug can be unclipped from the metal bracket and you should be able to see where it clips in the back. |

I remember now, that's not C0255 it's a spare one that isn't used on mine, you haven't filled in your vehicle profile but if you have the same model as mine then it's not used and nothing to do with your issue...

That's the BECM, the ECU for the seat is in the seat switch pack... You can sometimes see a problem but a lot of the time there is no visible damage, the parts fail internally, there are places that can check these ECU's but there is little you can do yourself, that's why a code read may be helpful... |
