Portable audio device vanished

So been driving for weeks with a 64GB usb in the car, working perfectly.

Stopped for coffee break today, now come back to car and the "portable audio device" option has vanished from the system menus entirely and we can't play any music.

I've tried switching it off/on again, removing & reinserting etc but to no avail Sad

Anybody have any clues?

2012 Westminster

Ian

does this happen often then? any idea to causes at all?

I'm currently giving car time to calm down after it's 5hr 'sulk' and will then go and see if it's going to remember properly...

(and it was tea for me and coffee for swmbo) Smile

the FF has many ecu's that normally talk to other very well but sometimes one ecu has a paddy resulting in an electronic device not working properly....leaving the FF for a while is like a soft reboot of the systems and nine times out of ten it works..
a battery disconnection is the next step.. ... - .- -.
