Preventative maintenance

Assuming you do the services

And change all fluids....gearbox, transfer, differentials, steering, coolant, brakes

Is there anything else you can do?
Some suggest changing hoses. Are there more details and what should I tell my indie to do ?
All thoughts welcome.
😀

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Autobiography TDV8 Santorini Black

I asked the same thing a while back http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic37512.html

and Craig @ CamTech gave mine a thorough inspection (and the car Whistle )

The oils are a given, lubricating the turbo actuator for the second turbo is a given (in case the previous owner drove like Miss Daisy), he did the oil seal that leaks (replacing it with one that doesn't) but it didn't need anymore than that and I'd be surprised if you do either.

As you'll see from my thread, there isn;t any known issues with the hoses on the 4.4 as such. Two members had different problems but no patterns yet so they were inspected and left as is.

He's got a late TDV8 so thermostat mod, top hose and PCV valve won't apply....

My advice is take it out and get it hot then drive it like you stole it for a while, a lot of problems with the later diesels is because people drive them far to softly, they need to be used to their max at least once a month, it does no harm to the car but really does help to keep everything working as it should....

Use it or lose it... Thumbs Up Pete
