Has anyone tried one of these 'hidden' type dash cams?

I thought these looked like a great idea. Hate the look of most dash cams, I think they can be unsightly. Plus, I quite like the stealthiest of this and you could probably leave it in situ without any potential thief even realising it was there. No idea if it would fit around the FFRR's rear view mirrors base, but just wondering if anyone has this or something similar?

Pic for when the link above expires:

I like the concept but like you, not sure it would fit in a FF.

There was a guy on the MB forum a while back who was bit of a wiz with electronics and he bought a dash cam, disassembled it and installed it inside the plastic cover 'under' the mirror in such a way that only by looking closely from the front could you see the lens. No wires on show and the card slot was the only thing on the inside that showed there was a camera present.

Very clever stuff, really.

The blackvue units can hide quite well behind the rear view mirror, i can just about see mine from the drivers seat but could hide it very well if i wanted and its not very visible from outside either.

That first unit looks massive!! Very Happy FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
