I got a Varta Silver 110AH (main battery) in the cubby, needed to saw off the plastic surrounds (on the battery) and cut out a screw thread that was sticking up. Tight fit but it goes in. .

Just to point out if you've got the removal tow bar stored under there the battery won't fit under that panel.

Hello nbunney, there are several places where you can terminate the ground cable inside the trunk. I used 7mm bolt in the lower part of d-pillar. Bare ended cables were for 300W inverter I had installed there. These cables can simply be removed or fuse taken out if no inverter is installed. - DJ |
