Do I have a problem

I have a 02 L322 v8 all was fine until yesterday while on the motorway travelling at 60-65 mph I pulled into the fast lane to overtake I put my foot down (flat down) the car didn't pick up like a stabbed rat like normal, it gradually went up to about 70-75 but no kick down and it seemed like the clutch was slipping and the revs went to 6000. The car drives fine and I had the gearbox flushed at Quattro care about a month ago. What could it be???
Cheers in advance

Probably the wrong fluid in the gearbox... did they use the correct fluid, there is only one and that is Mobil LT71141 other oils will say they are the same specification but they don't have the correct additives...

Or could be oil level if they did use the correct oil.... Pete

I took it to Quattro care in York who are Land Rover specialists. How could I tell what fluid they used?

You will have to ask them what oil they used and checking the oil level is a job for them, not easy to do on your own if you don't do DIY.... Thumbs Up Pete

Engine running, on level ground. Oil in gearbox at around 30-50deg C... move selector through all positions, pausing in each for a few seconds, remove oil filler on the drivers side rear of the box with engine still on and ensure it is full until oil comes out, do not switch off engine with filler plug out or you get covered in it...

Correct oil is straw coloured so if the oil is red or pink then it has the wrong stuff in it...

Go to the WIKI, (link under fullfatrr.com top left of any page) and download Rave the workshop manual and it tells you all about it in there... Thumbs Up Pete

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Westminster TDV8 Orkney Grey

from my experience of driving same car/gearbox, with low fluid level, (had a leak) you tend to get a slight snatching of the gears, when turning corners, i think more on a left turn, and box sort of goes into 'neutral' and then gurgles, and snatches the gear. -when just normal driving. keep it in mind. also, it sort of took a second to go into gear, when selecting the correct gear, especially from cold.
you can buy the correct oil by the litre on ebay. using lt71141 mobil in search.
without a syringe, its difficult to squeeze in more than half the bottle, especially without gloves on. (exhaust etc)
also, although it might have been flushed, it probably is still fairly dirty looking fluid, now that its mixed in with existing etc. so dont expect it to be clean honey coloured
you can only drain about half of the fluid, and then refill and 'mix it', and drain again, to then get it 3/4 'new' and then if again, about 7/8th's etc.
if run through a pumped flush, it will still always have some dirty fluid mixed in.

Can the gearbox oil be overfilled? If so is it detrimental.
And cheers Johnboyairey for your advice

Pretty hard to overfill it, you pour oil in until it comes out, difficult to get it to stay in when you try to put the filler plug back in...

You can defo underfill them though, especially if you don't go through the gears several times... Thumbs Up Pete

Cheers for that Pete. I called the guys that did flush and they said it is Mobil lt 71141. I have ordered a litre of said oil off eBay and I will try and put that in.
Is there any threads explaining how to top up?
Thanks again

You really should download Rave as I said above it tells all.....

Never bothered with a new washer and one of those cheap infrared thermometers works good if you don't have a diagnostic tool to tell you the temp...
