Apple Mac advice

Just wondering if any of you Gents that have an apple Mac laptop could give me any advice on them as the oldest daughter wants this "New Apple Mac Laptop" ....... for xmas

Reason for asking i have only ever used Windows , and i am not very well clued up on Mac's (think thats the terminology for them)

Any info appreciated ........

Trying to persuade her to go for A Windows Laptop and the new Samsung Tablet (ipad rival) instead Thumbs Up

Thanks .

yeah simple Mick, don't do it.

I have both and hate Mac's - windows far easier and more compatibale, but maybe its me thats thick!.

Others love Macs though...

I own both and honesty, the MacBook is just a glorified windows laptop. No large difference apart from one is twice the price. They are really just more for show and will break just as easy as normal laptop.

I own a HP G61 and has served me well In the last 7 months. Seem to be toddler proof also, so should stand up to a child. http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/hp-g61-415sa...0-pdt.html

Mick, if you have any doubts at all, read THIS THREAD

I have a Mac supplied by work and it's diabolical. As is the Ipad. And the iPhone

Save your money. A Really nice laptop is half the price of the crApple.

Dom.
