Hi All, hope you are all well and enjoying the weather wherever you are.....

Just had to post to thank the forum once again.......went for a picnic yesterday and its 32 degrees here, so wanted to leave the car windows open slightly, and decided to lock it with the key, hoping this would not activate the incar sensors.......duhhh.....like on all the other lesser vehicles I have owned....

Returned to car, forgetting I had used the key and unlocked with the key button....drove home, all is well so far.....3 hours later, car alarm goes off.......hmmm, never done this before, perhaps its the heat.....reset with key, all is well.........6 hours later, alarm goes off again.........reset again and head for forum.....many pages later, Ive decided its the bonnet switch, unplug said switch and head for bed.

Wash and wax car next morning, relieved the forum has come up trumps again, and totally un concerned some french farmer may attempt access to my engine compartment, through lack of security.....until, yup...you guessed it......4.5 haours later...alarm goes off again.........now Im worried.....dont remember the central screen staying on that long after locking?.....whats that red light flashing in the dash instruments? ....thought the alarm light was in the mirror?....etc etc etc.....back to the forum and finally.............GraemeC mentioned a fly!!!!!!!!!!!

Must admit I never thought of this.....beck to car, and as Im sitting there...a small spider lands o n me...and starts to wander around......returned said spider to natural habitat...outside and reset alarm..........now all I can do is hope.......

I had a similar problem when my fridge turned on when camped. The air flow from the fans set off the alarm. Then a read of the handbook told me to do a second press of the key to turn off the internal sensor. Ron B. VK2OTC
