Steering clunk

Hi all,

On a turn, flick back and fro I can hear a clunk. We have had the wishbones changed as well as the ball joints etc and the clunk is still their.

It feels like the steering column so has anyone else had this?

Thanks Range Rover quotes.....

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Baltic Blue

Hi
My L322 has the same problem, the garage identified the problem as the front steering arm which the ball joint is connected to.
Sorry I cannot explain further as I am as technical as a goldfish!

I can get back to you if you wish next Wednesday to give you the full details of what has been replaced.

There are 2 track rods each side, an inner and outer.

Basically the inner bolts into the steering rack, then the outer (the one you traditionally think of and which gets adjusted when you do the tracking toe)is threaded onto the inner and connects to the wheel hub carrier.

The outer has a ball joint on the end which attaches it to the hub, these fail. The inner has a ball joint on the inner end where it screws to the steering rack, these also fail but not as often. Both are available as separate part and aren't massive money so worth doing both at the same time Thumbs Up There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
