Suspension leaning but no faults and no leaks, calibratedx4

dear forum experts,
i would like to ask your expert advice for a problem affecting my l322 td v8 with 270.000 km.
please bear with me to provide you the full picture. sorry being long and thanks for your patience

1. this winter in the snow i put the front right wheel in a rut and got pulled out by a chap. wheel was dangling in the soft snow.
2. going home i puncture the right tire (lucky day!)
3. fixed the puncture but after some time i noted the car was leaning on the right hand side
4. on further analysis the front right wheel was almost 4 cm closer to the fender lip
5. went to the mechanic and on the occasion the front left air suspension decided to start leaking badly on that day
6. he said the problem was due to the leaking left air suspension which needed replacement
7. told him that the problem was present even before the leakage and that it was on the right hand side lowering not the left
8. he insisted to change the suspension,
9. he puts on a bwigroup assuring me that delphi are not available anymore and that bwigroup is the new oem for land rover
10. he returns the car and the 4 cm difference is still there (right side still lower than left)
11. he claims that he needs to calibrate
12. he takes back the car and returns it. now the difference is only 1.5 cm (right side still lower)
13. he claims 1.5 cm is normal. for me it is not since you can notice it and the car continues to pull to the right hand side
14. i decide to take the car to the stealer to get it sorted out
15. stealer claims the issue is the right height sensor damaged and changes it. he then does a calibration and gives back the car, still 1.5 cm difference
16. i take car back to stealer and tell him to fix
17. he keeps the car for 5 days, runs all sort of tests and diagnostics and comes to the conclusion that the new suspension (the left one of bwigroup) is the source of the problem and needs to be replaced with an original land rover suspension. n addition stealer claims that it is not the right suspension lowering but the left one raising after calibration.
18. i go back to the shop which had put the bwigroup suspension and complain
19. the shop assures that bwi is a legitimate spare and that it is not causing the problem
20. the shop runs calibration again. (it is the fourth time now that the car gets calibrated). it is under my eyes.
21. the car goes level with 0 mm difference
22. shop puts suspension in high and low mode
23. again a 1.5 cm difference pops up (right lower than left)
24. shop suggests to cheat the computer and lie the input measurements to correct the difference.
25. shop plays with the computer lying the measurements and gets the car to lean 0.5 cm to the left hand side this time!
26. i am now driving for one week and it seems that the car is again leaning on the right hand side for a few mm.

what could be the problem? suspension ecu going crazy? right suspension leaking very slowly? can anyone please help me? really appreciate your input. thanks!! Big Cry Big Cry Big Cry

Keep going and soon you will have changed all the parts on the suspension Shocked

I wouldn't expect a 1.5 cm difference between the front wheels to cause your car to pull to the right, could you have caused any damage/alignment problems by falling into that rut? May be worth getting a 4 wheel alignment done - your garage should have done this for you.

Always best to change front struts in pairs

My front right has always been lower than my front left, no amount of calibration (and tried with three different tools) would sort it out, so gave up in the end. Don't have any problems with tracking though. .

thanks, forgot to mention that yes, I did check the wheel alignment with the sensors (4 kind of checkerboards linked to the wheels) and all looked fine.

In my experience 1.5 cm lower on the right does make the car gently pull right

I can say this because when the shop tweaked the calibration settings and caused a 0.5 cm lower on the left, the car gently started pulling left.

However now it seems it is going back to the old habit of leaning to the right....

My main concern is why, immediately after calibration the cars is aligned, but after driving a while or using the off road mode and back, she gains her old habit to start leaning to the right. Can it by that the suspension ECU has a bug? any other thoughts?

Sounds like a pin hole leak at the top of the right bag which is only exposed in off road height or long periods of use when compressor will stop running to prevent overheating.

I had a slow leak in my o/s/f airbag and car was fine unless parked in extended mode. Leave it in off road or raise it, Jack it up and switch engine off and listen. How I found my fault that computer said wasn't there. '55 Java Black Vogue

thanks Nicka, tomorrow I will check. But when you say jack it up do you mean to put the car on jack, or just to put in on high suspension settings (off road mode) and switch off engine to listen for leakage?

Lift into off-road mode and Jack to get air Spring fully extended and then listen for leaks, can also run soapy water on the bag as it will bubble of air is escaping '55 Java Black Vogue
