Just fitted my ff with a dash cam - quite straight forward, not too pricey (depending on which you get) and you can find the 'how to do' elsewhere. What I would definitely like to say is everybody should consider fixing one, in fact all cars should have two - one for the front and one for the rear. I installed one in my previous car after my insurance company said that it couldn't be proven who was at fault when another driver took out my door mirror. I was on my side of the road and actually had to mount the grass verge when a van driver coming in the opposite direction took a corner too fast and crossed the white line removing both mine and his mirrors and only just missing a head on. When I contacted my insurance they said that they never get involved with these sort of 'minor' incidents unless there is irrefutable proof (there were no witnesses) that the other driver had crossed the line.
