Engine flush and fuel additive

Thought I'd post my experience of a couple of products from a local company called Cost Effective Maintenance.

I bought some of their engine flush and fuel additive and have to say I'm impressed.

The fuel additive has made the engine noticeably quieter, a little more responsive and a tad more frugal.

The engine flush required new oil and fast idling for about 30 minutes. The oil that came out was slightly thicker than what went in and blacker than black (after on 30 mins). So obviously the flush had flushed pretty good.

After a 1000 kays the oil is still clear on the dipstick.

Just out of bi curiousness I did remove both oil drain plugs after losing suction on the vacuum pump I use to remove the oil from the engine. Probably a mug full of oil came out, so the vacuum doesn't quite get everything out.

Anyhoo, I don't work for these guys but certainly recommend the products.

If you fill in your car details in your profile you will get a little FF in your side bar, when you hover the curser over it it shows what FF you have... Thumbs Up Pete

Gday mate
PM me the details. I might give it a go. I'd rather see clear oil on the dipstick.

Also I've just started giving emulators a go. The motor runs quieter and produces almost no smoke with a boot full.

Lets hope Stan can help you out.

The input is quite particular so you need to select everything you can select. Sometimes we find out that a certain colour or spec is not available and then it won't go up but if all boxes are selected, it should normally work. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

Engine flush is simply ATF fluid packaged in smaller containers and sold for 10 times the price.

Add a litre of ATF, run engine for 15 minutes before draining the oil.
