Hi all I have a problem with my mk3 sat nav system. It comes up on screen vehicle position outside map limits and there is no gps symbol at all. I am using a not genuine map disc of eBay and my vehicle has a aftermarket gps antenna. Could either of these be the problem or could it be the mk3 unit itself ? It did work when I first got the disc but can't get it to work at all now

try the original disc to see if it makes a difference.. ... - .- -.

Is it a UK map ?

Mk3 was the CD one wasn't it - so each disk is a different country.....

I don't have the original disc, yes the mk3 is a cd disc it is the correct map and it did work when I first got the disc. It has now decided to stop working, don't want to chuck loads of money at it if it's the drive that's the problem as will just update to a mk4 nav drive. Would just be handy to have it working for now until I can get a mk4 drive

I've got a Mk 3 that you could buy off me and at least prove the rest of the system before you spend a significant sum on a Mk 4 just to find its not the computer...

I'm really sorry. My Mk4 unit started to crash repeatedly on Saturday. I'm going to hang on to the Mk 3 in case i need it whilst I sort out the Mk 4.
