United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Santorini Black

With that sort of milage the savings you would make from a diesel wouldn't be that big. Probably £3-400. But you may find that most of this would be swallowed up with maintenance. As your I may have read the gearboxes on the td6 can be fragile, and the turbos on leggy tdv8's can cause issues.

As I said if you aren't expecting to do a lot of miles then a petrol makes more sense. Thumbs Up There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

weegie what are you getting from a td6?

On a long run, mainly motorway, four weeks ago and not hanging about, I got 27mpg. More conservative driving locally usually returns me around 28mpg.

TBH if your wife is going to use it only 5 miles a day it will not get warm enough IMO. For that mileage petrol will probably lead to less wear and tear.

Not sure about there being that much, if any, difference in the cost of maintenance, if we are speaking purely on servicing.

Having said that, the situation over here is somewhat different as the differential between the cost of diesel and that of petrol is heavily slanted in favour of diesel. John
