Hi folks,

My display screen has some horrible finger marks, some look like they've worn away the mat finish of the screen, i tried to clean it using Autoglym fast glass, but the marks are still there.

What do you guys use to clean the screen and remove the marks described?

I don't know what's recommended but I use a damp microfibre and then dry with another. Coming from Mercs whose screens loose the anti-glare coating very easily, I don't use cleaners at all.

I had to get the screen replaced under warranty for this exact reason. However, on my previous one (which was out of warranty) I used baby wipes to remove the whole anti-glare coating. Made it much better. See this post

Best thing to do is to buy a matte screen protector for an iPad and cut it to size... Worked perfectly on mine

I was given a superb tip on this by @Cam-Tech-Craig (hope he doesn't remind me repeating it) - get an ipad matte screen protector, cut it to size and apply to cleaned screen. Works wonderfully and no more fingerprints...

As above, just make sure its clean before fitting the cover... Most kits come with a cleaning cloth

Mine was in a state when I got it. I used "Muc Off" screen spray with a microfibre cloth and it worked wonders - clean as a whistle. It's about £6 from a popular internet shop! 2005 L322 Vogue Gold gone

But, even after cleaning it (which the higher mileage/more used cars will struggle with due to wearing through the top layer on the screen) you will have finger marks constantly

Using a matte screen protector stops this almost entirely!
