Hi all.
I am experiencing a short, loud squeak (a bit like you would get treading on a mouse) as the td6 comes to a stop when turned off. The belt doesnt seem to have a problem and the squeak is not in evidence at other times - any suggestions? QUID FACIUM TIBI

Do you mean when you turn off the engine, or when you brake and come to a stop? .

Could be the EGR cleaning itself?

Not sure if the TD6 has a self cleaning EGR though. I know the TDv8s do tho and it sounds like a squeaking mouse  There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Perhaps something on the engine serpentine belt, circuit, is wearing, and as it stops spinning (belt stops) it gives a squeak. You could have any item on the belt wearing, like a pulley bearing, or water pump. Does it do it when you have the car warmed up? Or does it do it even when engine cold, like stopping engine within ten seconds of starting from cold?
You could do no wrong, by having the belt changed, and asking the tech/yourself, to feel if any bearings or pulley, are feeling worn, or rocking.
This is certainly where I'd start looking.
