Used to be good for a laugh and a bit of banter..... has become a bit of a family forum now - lot of new members that got no sense of humour.

If i mention the Luftwaffe for fun - i get confused with Adolf H.

I miss the good old days and some of the old members that don't post any more.....

I can't decide what's more concerning....

The mention of the Zee Luft-vaffa....the Austro-Argentinian pensioner or a German in a rubber suit.....all of which are perfectly normal. I think the batman outfit as it's obviously from Hamburg's 'famous' street' with a couple of bits glued on to make it look like batman....?

I don't think it's changed much to be honest....but at 3 years I am a newbie compared to some.... Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

It's just a sign that you're getting old - everything used to be better / cheaper / more fun / easier

As a very new member I can say that although I am always very much up for a laugh, it is not easy to join in with a fairly tight knit group who have know each other for a while.

True story....

Whilst on parade the day before Remembrance Sunday, one of the officers asked if he could wear his father's war medals the next day as a mark of respect. This was okayed by the Sergeant.

Another officer asked the same and he also was granted permission.

The following day, the first officer was on parade, his father's medals pinned to his tunic.

The eyes of the Sergeant conducting parade fell on the second officer. The Sergeant's eye's narrowed, his face went red then pale and in a dangerous voice asked, "What is the meaning of this?"

The second officer replied, "My father was awarded this for strafing the beaches at Normandy."

Guess which officer was the serial joker wearing an Iron Cross. Everyone did this....

It's just that we are more likely to offend folk these days as people are too sensitive in general . Doesn't stop them being rsoles though. Sauerkraut for breakfast today?I would like to see you in lederhosen , purely to laugh at you obviously!!
