My immediate thought is that the colder more viscous fluid takes slightly longer to build pressure than on a warm day?

please let us know if you find a fix mine does it after its sat over night, oil change made no difference 03 TD6 vogue....Epsom, very nice

Your gearbox is giving signs that it may be on the way out. The torque converter is the part that breaks in the box.

Yes, they are specialists and we had a long interview before I let them touch the car. It was also doing it before the fluid change. As it was in the warmer months it was not as noticable as Sunday morning. 2010 Disco XS TDV6, 2009 Freelander 2 GS

RE them failing at 80-100k I'm sure this has something to do with the oil life being 50-60K and the fact they never get a change.

Yes, the first 4 were from Land Rover, under warranty.

You could be right Dan re the fluid changes. The reading does suggest they are much weaker in construction than their ZF counterparts. I'll be looking at fluid changes say every 20,000 or so in the future and filter every 40,000 miles.. just to be belt and braces. 2010 Disco XS TDV6, 2009 Freelander 2 GS
