Shift from 1st to 2nd Gear - Slight Jerk ?

Hello All

Quick question, does the shift from 1st to 2nd feel "seamless" or is there a slight lag causing You to feel a (very slight) jerk if you could call it that

To me there just feels like a bit of lag which makes it not as smooth as I'd expect

My supplying dealer doesn't have another 405 I can test but before I go into another dealer to have a try, can
Anyone comment on the above? All other gears feel fine to me

Thanks

I've had this very occasionally, seemingly when I'm being very gentle on the throttle.

Thanks Gents (or maybe lady and gent)

Being very gentle today actually helped alleviate it somewhat, to the point it was as smooth as.

When I go all out its smooth too, but when I go in between I can feel it.

Wonder if it's to do with adapting to the driving style or something 2015 SDV8 Autobiography - Black, Cirrus, 22" Style 707 Wheels

You didn't specify which engine you have but I have commented many times on the fact that my MY16 3.0lt doesn't feel as smooth as I think it should do when accelerating from standstill or low speeds. After weeks of hassling, finally I managed to get the dealer to agree once I managed to get a technician to come out for a test drive with me. They have just updated the Transmission Control Module and it is like a different car - I wouldn't say it is quite perfect yet so a bit more tweaking might be needed, but it is a massive improvement already.

I don't know if the problem I had is the same as you are experiencing but the car is a lot smoother at low speeds now and there is a lot less jerkiness.

Hope this helps....

Hey Matty I have the 4.4 SDV8 and yes it's exactly that, I just don't feel it's as smooth as it should be accelerating from low speeds..... I will try get the dealer to look at it. I just hope it won't be difficult to convince them.....

XXXAngelXXX a clong you might wanna get that looked at! 2015 SDV8 Autobiography - Black, Cirrus, 22" Style 707 Wheels
