The system is definitely not a factory one.

Is there a DVD player somewhere ?

The factory one is installed in the left side of the boot.

Is there a compartment in the rear arm rest ? That's where the factory one would be.

The only part in the boot in that area I think is the sat navigation dvd ? , Do you mean the centre seat on the back seat's where something is located? .

As Alistair says, the Necvox systems are aftermarket. I have Sony screens and a Necvox DVD system in the boot in the left hand side panel. I have 3 remotes, one for each screen and one for the DVD system. The DVD system has a magic eye in the cabin for receiving the DVD. If you have a Necvox screen and DVD system, you may only have one remote which does everything (screen and DVD) or separate like mine. When I first bought mine, I found the remotes in a bag in the right hand lower boot storage area, where the towbar box is when fitted. I store them in the top of the front centre arm rest. Hopefully you'll find them somewhere in the car as there are loads of places they could be. Also would expect there to be some headphones too.

Yeah doesn't look like I have that in my boot . Guess it's probably easier to start again because I guess they just work as a tv screen? ?..I also can't find a remote

If you select TV on the main screen, does whats on the main screen also appear on the rear screens (even if you don't have an active digital unit it should still show a channel number or AV code on the screen) It is possible that stilll won't show anything if the rear screen mode is looking at the wrong source input. If its like any other Necvox screen you should be able to do most things on the screen without the remote.

The buttons on the screen are

Menu - the one which looks like a door with an open window. Activates the menu and acts as a select
Mode - the one which looks like a circle - should select the AV input - 2 channels, one would be TV the other would be the DVD player input if it was fitted
Up and Down arrows - will select the option, then once menu is pressed will then change the option.

Play around with the input settings and the PAL/NTSC settings on the rear screens with your front screen on TV mode and hopefully you'll pick something up. Current Fleet:-

I won't allow me to do anything apart from change the colour or shade etc it's stuck on one screen and that's it .

What about contacting the previous owner - ask them if thy have the remote in a draw somewhere?
