I'd first check if the selector cable and mechanism are in good shape. Wouldn't surprise me if something came loose not being tighted properly when the work was done and the selector is actually pulling it into neutral or keeping it on the edge.

Thanks mate. I'll have a look on the weekend. I assume they relearned the transmission.

+1 for selector linkage , mine did the same once . cleaned it all up and sprayed with good silicone grease and good as gold since . Always go for the simple and obvious before you need to panic |

I would also check the transmission fluid level. |

Thanks again for the replies. Should I be checking cable connections at the selector or transmission end? ______________________________

I'd start at the gearbox end first as that is the part that has been loose. Also have a good look around to see if the cable is free, check if the wiring connector is also seated properly, just to be sure.
