United Kingdom 2014 Range Rover Vogue SDV8 Luxor
It's here

It arrived today and I am chuffed to bits!
It's immaculate and not a mark anywhere. I will post a few pictures when the weather is bright.
What a motor. The guy that delivered it had it on 75mph all the way from Perth and the computer says 37mpg average! That can't be right can it?? It's a 335 HP v8!!!!!!
I can only describe the 322 and 405 as chalk and cheese and I didnt think i would ever say that!

My only doubt so far are the 22" wheels......... Yes - you can feel the bumps!!!!

Very Happy

Congratulations.

I for one tend to forget how much development and advancement takes place until the opportunity arrives to drive old and new back to back.

Yep, 37mpg not unusual ,as car is sat in 8th gear and almost just ticking over. I get in the 30's all the time and if I get below that, it is only because I have done a very very short journey. I also have the 22in wheels, certainly a harder ride than the 19's I had on my old L322 but used to them now. They do have some advantages - improved handling I reckon as less give in tyre walls due to being lower profile tyres etc. Careful near kerbs though as less forgiving than deeper walls. Steve

37 does seem a bit generous - or maybe I just need to lighten my right foot - low 30's for me usually.

I also have the 22's and agree that you get used to them quickly - I originally had 20's and they were a bit softer, but also not as sharp on roundabouts etc.

Thanks lads, I've done about 100 miles yesterday and I'm getting nowhere near 37 Embarassed
As I said that was a cruise of 360 miles most of it at 70, so not typical of what I will be doing.
Very impressed with meridion sound system.
Pics coming soon
Very Happy

@Alistair - my brother in law also has the 4.4 SDV8 and he has had around 38mpg average home and back each time he has come up to see us in the RR (trip of around 275 miles), so it's easily possible if you just cruise a long distance with a fairly constant speed. Steve

Embarassed I need to remove my lead boots I think - I regularly do long runs through France, but the average speed is quite high Whistle
