A mate of mine knows someone (yes, I know, usual story) who worked at LR, and they reckon..........
Whilst driving normally (not on motorways, more like general A roads) that if you put the FF into snow/gravel mode, it tightens up the suspension making it handle better?
I know it starts off in 2nd gear making it a smoother take off, but does it really make handling better? And what are the other advantages/disadvantages of this?

I can't speak for the last Adaptive Dynamics models but in the in the others with Terrain Response models it changed the throttle and gearbox maps and opened the crossover valves in the suspension , that kind of stuff . Sand mode will give you a more abrupt throttle to get going and in other modes it will soften the reactions , if you have a re-map that will be bypassed to the LR settings but none of that I can see will " tighten it up " on road . But as usual I await to be corrected  2008 MY Supercharged
