Satnav update on a 2010 MY

Has anyone found another way to update the satnav without going to a dealer for the download?

I see yours is a 2010 and I'm afraid that you will have to go the stealer route , it has to be downloaded via their diagnostic computers and Land Rover are complete Censored about navigation software . 2008 MY Supercharged

I thought that would be the case but figured i'd ask Smile I am a bit jealous of the older displays as they can be upgraded to an Android system, great potential..

New Zealand 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Galway Green

Maybe JLR has stock in some companies that provide aftermaket Nav systems like TomTom because the prices they are charging they are pretty sure that most people will not upgrade and go to aftermarket. I find it totally unacceptable the way JLR deals with Navigation systems complete Censored IMHO.

I'm in the same boat as you, can't update for a reasonable price nor can I get South East Asia maps for when I ship mine to this part of the world. Completely bonkers but hey, Google Maps/Waze/Sygic it is then. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

you'll gain newer up-to-date mapping and if you travel a fair bit then it will help... from what i've read it costs £165 for the update plus a couple of hours labour..... ... - .- -.

Had mine updated last week; was £238 all up. It felt worth it in the end because instead of taking half an hour, it took nearly two hours Yawn

What edition have you got now? Mine is still WE2009 something...

Did you see anything different with regards to mapping or just better accuracy with roads etc?
