iID and headlamp fault

Got a headlamp out ,tried replacing bulb but no good
Started with lamp going out after a couple of mins
Then lasting a couple of seconds
Now will not start at all

So question is
Will the IID tell me its the ignighter or the electronic pack /ballast that is at fault or will it just say dip beam fault

Cheers nige

I would have thought that it will only say the headlamp has a fault, and it wont go in to such detail as which bit Rolling Eyes Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

I have an internmittent problem with mine n/s not starting every time. IID says something about ignition voltage being low I think.
