brake lights stuck on

my brake lights are still on after i have locked the car, if i unlock the car and start it they behave normally, i have plugged in my diagnostic kit and cant find anything so have disconnected the battery to stop it from draining, i have recently fitted a towing kit its the westfalia oem one could this be the issue? unplugged the towing loom but it didnt make any difference, thanks for any pointers, mark.

i had a similar issue on an Audi I had some time ago and it was a sticking microswitch in the brake pedal mechanism. A quick squirt of light oil sorted it. Worth a look I guess. First time FFRR owner

Light control module is behind the bonnet pull panel, these either get wet of just fail! This will most likely be your problem...

Take the LCM out and check the unit & electrical plug for water ingress issues sir Thumbs Up

Hi my LCM is I assume duff as I have had lots of light problems so I bought a brand new one but when connecting it I get a EPROM LCMC error. Reading about this it says the unit must be synchronised by using texbook/T4. I phoned up local main dealers who seemed to have no idea what to do? any suggestions?
regards Dave
