Anyone know how the tank range displayed on the console is calculated?

If I drive at 100 kph to 120 kph I can get the distance upto 999 kms on the screen but I still only get 780 to 850 kms to a tank 2015 4.4 AB

Good man I love a good game of fuel light rulet , that and trying to put the most amount of fuel in it if only to get a begrudging nod of sympathy from the garage attendant . 2008 MY Supercharged

Ah, now I get you. I'm in Germany but I've never done the former but often do the latter Will have to start checking the range more often after filling up to see how much it varies. Though, if it's always around the 800km mark instead of 900km like a couple of years ago is that a sign my engine isn't as efficient as it once was? Many years ago my Uncle was fined for having a puncture on the Autobann, and stopping to change the wheel... I don't know if they have changed their rules, but then it was illegal to stop what ever the cause.... don't know if you'd be fined for having an accident Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!
