Which reversing camera have people bought from Ebay

Hi Guys,
I've read quite a bit on here about people fitting reverse cameras to L322's.
I bought a unit from Ebay the other day but when I've unscrewed the number plate light assembly to fit this in it is obvious it won't fit without butchering the original panel which isn't something I really want to do.
What cameras have other people bought from Ebay to view the rear/towbar (so at 45 degrees)?

I'm sure this is a well trodden path and any photo's would be useful as to how others have overcome the challenge of type and position of the camera?

Many Thanks
Richard

Hi, my profile seems to have all my vehicle details in it already. I'm not sure where this would display.
My car is a 2004 TD6 L322.
Many thanks
Richard

If you go to Profile then to My Range Rover Profile and fill it in it will give you a little car in the side box, hover over the car with the cursor and up pop your details... Thumbs Up Pete

Got it !!!
Thank you, I'd filled it all in except colour and it wouldn't let me select a colour despite having filled the rest in. I tried it in Firefox and it worked.
Thanks!

Change the year model then it will let you select the colour. The change back to the correct year and it will let you select the colour again. Ron B. VK2OTC

I have fitted 2 of these camera's to ffrr's and with a bit of trimming they work very well, plus you can see a towbar if fitted.... saves holes in the bumper Thumbs Up

They do require a bit of dremel work to the original lamp holder (cut away every thing that isn't the face) but it will work... and you'll either have to add a ballast resister or turn off the LCM for the number plate lamp.... but all in all a very neat solution, in a much better place that Land Rover fit them Thumbs Up

I used one of these on my car, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-501-T10-W5W-W...XQs6FRNdbE
but by the time I installed the camera on my friends I had a copy of NavCoder so I was able to turn the number plate lamp monitor off in the LCM..... The Gap IID Tool will also do this... a much better solution to the resister Thumbs Up

The parts that I used for the install are as follows.....
Camera off fleabay, there are lots out there, just look for an X5 camera that looks like this

A 12v relay like this, as they are a third of the price or an automotive relay... but you need to be able to solder Shocked

And some Micro Quadlock terminals http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/pcb-connector-contacts/7180879/

And a bit of thin wire to link the relay with the reverse lamps and the TV modual.....

The install is covered in this thread and will give a good idea of what is involved.... http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic24647.html

But I have discovered that when feeding the wire through the rubber sleeve / hose from tailgate to car, it is a lot easier to just cut the plug off, as it is not required and is a right PITA to feed through if you leave the plug on Laughing Also I found that some of the 5m leads that come with the cameras have an extra red wire, this is the one to look out for as they make the wiring very easy...... connect the camera red to the red wire on the lead and the black to the tailgate which is earthed... I used one of the aerial amps / module mounting bolts as it was going in to a captive nut in the tailgate .. But check with a meter before Embarassed

Then connect the red wire at the other end to the reverse light + feed that you need to tap to switch the relay, that grounds pin 17 of the blue plug Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!
