Im looking at a 2013 vehicle with 21k on the clock and the asking is £54k- Basic Vogue Spec.

However, I know the news of a facelift is immenent so I don't want buy one and then loose money on it the following month.


What are peoples thoughts on this?


Is the news of a facelift vehicle going to drive the prices downwards?

You're going to lose money on it every month.

I can't see a facelift having a material difference to the price of a 2013 - but the prices will continue to fall anyway.

I would have thought the facelift will affect the trade in price of late i.e. 2016 pre-facelift vehicles most. Unlikely to noticeably affect the value of a 2013 ever.

I always reckon 0n 5-10k depreciation per year, not been wrong yet!
!0k in earlier years dropping to 5k thereafter - it only really stops (or slows significantly) when vehicle is worth less than 10k
but its never stopped me - or others  Geoff

Just buy one you baby and depreciation is supposed to slow after 3 years - i have just bought a 2013  All my spelling errorz are belong to me!

Well if depreciation is a problem, don't ever buy a modern car. You'll lose money on it anyway.
Modern cars are not an investment, but a consumer item. take the money out of your backpocket, buy the thing, enjoy it and never ever think about the money again. Because that will ruin the fun.
