+1 GG AT, 38k miles, not even half worn yet and good in mud, snow and road - particularly better at motorway speeds in heavy rain as the deep tread evacuated water far better than std RR tyres and avoids aquaplaning. Plus cheaper than most other brands, look good and are available in 275/45/20 which look far better than the skinny 255's, and the only speed rated AT suitable for a RR. Will definitely be buying again. 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17 |

Why the love for General grabbers? Mine came with a new set fitted and I thought they were rather noisy on the road. Swapped them over for scorpion zeros. 2005 L322 Vogue Gold gone

I have to say the standard Pirelli Zero's have been good, but I need a more aggressive pattern for softer surfaces, with a little more dig, especially when towing

If you need to ask you'll never know - using a RR for what it's designed for the standard tyres are OK for a pavement queen - but they fall far short of the capabilities of the vehicle. Plus the std Pirellis on my vehicle only lasted 12k miles on the front and 16 on the rear - pretty poor compared to the GG AT's on 38k and only half worn. You do lose 1-2 mpg though - but who cares would rather be able to use the vehicle and be confident she won't get stuck 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17 |
