Brake Bits buying new - options?

My 04 TD6 had a rattling dust shield and on investigation discovered that I need new shields and as my discs are in poor condition I need new disks and brake pads as well. I noticed various prices and adding in the fact I am in Northern Ireland so usually end up paying more for postage I obviously want to try and save a few quid but not at the cost of reliability on brakes!
So, is it really "you get what you pay for" on parts as there is quite a jump from one maker to the next price wise or what would members recommend? Britpart/EBC/Delphi or whatever thoughts?

I've always bought mine from Dan Thumbs Up

Certainly worth a quote from him to compare to whatever other options you have

I too have used Dan and had very good service - leave him a message http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/duckworth-parts-vf24.html and wait for the price to magically appear!
