Looking at treating myself to a dual action car polisher,all look much of a muchness any one able to advise as prices seem to vary ,will probably only use a few times a year so dont want to be spending mega bucks ,advise. Info much appreciated

I've got a Das-pro from Clean your Car, would highly recommend.

I've achieved some great results with it and personally wouldn't go for an orbital, stick with a dual action as it's far less less likely you'll do any damage or polish in more issues than you started with!

Another vote for the DAS6 pro - have had one for years, great bit of kit (also purchased from Cleanyourcar). Avoid the basic DAS6, the pro and pro-plus both have more powerful motors and a longer 6 metre cable.

+1 for the Makita. That's all I use now. Various DA machines have come and gone (usually gone bang) along the way but the Makita keeps going. It's also way more powerful with its constant torque motor than a lot of the competitors and because it's rotary rather than Dual-Action it won't vibrate your fillings out or make your hands tingle for days.

Expensive? Depends if you value quality and servicability really. Try buying a set of brushes for a cheap chinese import.

I've had a DA polisher sat in the garage for a couple of years now. Never quite worked out which pad does which and in which order. Really must sort it out and give it a whirl (perhaps on the wifes car first though)

I've got a heavy duty industrial type rotary polisher that gets dusted off now and again. Had it 15 years. It was about £200 odd then and did implode once many years ago but it got fixed and is a mean piece of kit in the right hands (think it's a Sealey but would need to check). Just need to find someone who can work it properly
