I seem to remember that you can activate a function in the CCF that will keep the car unlocked if the keys are inside it. Since I don't have access to my FF here, I can't check that but maybe something for you Craig to look into ??

By the way, I'm anal when it comes to this sort of stuff, always check and check again that the key is in my pocket before closing the tailgate  MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

I can see that working for a car with keyless entry, but I don't think that the earlier cars will do that  Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Unless there is an option to only unlock the boot and not enable the auto-locking, it's the automatic lock and rearm that's the problem. If you have to use the lock button to re-lock the car, and you would need the key in your hand to do that  Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!
