Thanks guys..... Quick question, trying to work out the steering column adjustment on entry and exit! The manual says the seat and steering wheel will move to a easy access position on entry and exit..... Mine does not! Any suggestions?

Pretty sure you can switch it off and on via the menu in between the dash clocks |

You can turn the option on and off with an IIDTool. Ed |

Many will say, that given the replacement cost of the column, when faulty, to have it just on manual adjust. The option, is to have it whizz away from you when key removed, and come back when key inserted. It can wear or break the motor over time, and is often annoying to, I've when you get in with say a bag on your lap or something, and all of a sudden, you are crushed. As long as you can adjust, -or rather your guest driver. Then, it's best left alone. Am I right in thinking, you can set both keys, to remember different column positions, and have it work that way. ?

Different keys should adjust it to whatever memory slot 1 holds.

As suggested above, the column is £1600+ just for the part without labour

Thanks guys.... I will leave it alone! Just wondered how you could switch it on or off.... I'm 6' 3" so the seat is quite far back, and the steering wheel is high any way! 2006 RR sport HSE
