TD6 Gearbox rebuild - Recomendations South

My TC is definitely on the way out and considering i've done 114k miles and the box hasn't been rebuilt before think it's best to just get the whole lot done.

All the companies i've seen people talk about are Birmingham / Liverpool or in between. Has anybody used anybody in the south that they would recomend? I'm near Gatwick and am happy to travel if up the m40/m6 is the answer but if there is somebody closer that would be useful.

Do not use Jb Transmisions in Layton they are crap mine had to go back 3 times with total failure in about 6 months of them so called rebuilding and it came back with no engine cover and a dent in the rear tailgate just thought I would give you a heads up

I used Suffolk Automatic Transmissions. Might be a bit out of your area but service was second to none. Developed a leak after 6 weeks but they collected the car and sorted it out without hesitation. 1800 +vat for box and torque converter.

Might be worth having a word with Sussex Auto Parts ( http://www.sussexautos.co.uk/ ) although I don't think they actually remove and refit boxes anymore they certainly re-manufacturer auto boxes and TC's so hopefully can recommend someone near you to do the job.
