I use a RHD Smart in Greece with just the same levers changing the beam pattern. It's passed 2 KTEO ( MOT ) tests since importation. It's not a very difficult test to pass though. 10minutes max of which 5 are emissions and photographs. 2017 5.0 Autobiography Supercharged

I don't know Stan. I went through this severe test last week, not the French MOT, but the DREAL one, which is a level higher, because I have a LPG instal. in the car that was not mentioned on the V5, so they were very thorough and precise, but never said anything about my headlights.

In the UK only the flat part of the beam is subject to MOT testing, so you can alter the switch for continental driving and leave it, if you don't mind losing the part of the beam that lights up the hedges on the left. Not so bad with a switch to adjust, but if they require stick on beam blockers, then it's easier to just leave them on. Had a Lexus for 5yrs, regular trips to EU. Not a problem.
