AUX Channel on TV

Just a quick one, the Aux channel on the TV, (2003 model), am I right in thinking that if I buy one of these.......

I could have my ipod going through the tv audio on the Aux channel instead of the tape converter which is Censored ? 2006 Mercedes CLS

hi mate, i take it when your talking tape conversion you are saying the cassette adapter that pops in the cassette and gives you an audio in, then yes they are Censored . now if you don't use your tape then you can use the in-put in the boot, they do a dedicated x5 lead that plugs in your amp that will allow you to use an ipod but this will not work on yours

this is the plug on the amp and this is were i cut and used the tape's input, you will have stereo but still will have to manually control you ipod, the intrvee is the unit you want if full operation is required.or even a car pc if you want the fullpackage

Dunno to be honest - as above yes it would work but think it would be in Mono. You'd be much better off if you have a BMW RR using Intravee - then you can plug in your Censored into that which means you can control all the tracks via the steering wheel and the info comes up on screen.

It does replace your changer though... But you can plug any Ai-net device into it. Censored , Censored , DVD changers MP3 CHangers etc etc.

Mono? Eurgh, it's not 1981 again is it?

Dan, It's for my " Censored " Laughing

I don't use my cd changer anyway so may go for the intravee then. Ta.

Oh, and as for the dvd changer, does that mean I (my passengers) could watch dvd's on the move? 2006 Mercedes CLS

No - but there are other options for that... With a different price tag too.

Search is your friend: http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic1556.html

Basically audio data can go across the ibus but Video cant. But that can just go in via the s-vid input?

I dont know enough to comment authoratively. Best you read the info on that post above, or maybe take a look on the x5 forums and see what they've done as the tech is the same.
