removal of tint on rear windows

I am looking at a second hand SDV8 which is pretty spot on apart from the rear windows and boot have the tinted glass. Does anyone know if this is still a film that can be removed if you do not like it or is it inside the glass now? 2011 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 TDV8

You can get it replaced for around £2,000 I found out. Equally if buying from a dealer if they really want the sale they might swap it for another car that doesn't have the privacy glass. The cost to them will only be labour and amazing most people prefer the privacy glass and paid more for it so it might enhance the value of the donor vehicle it gets swapped with....

I just do not see the need for it in this country and I think it spoils the look of a RR when it is in green. I get the merits of it but it is one of those things I would not be happy living with on a car costing more than £50,000. I will just keep looking. Smile ... oh yes, and I also my window is for fresh air not dispensing drugs . 2011 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 TDV8

I don't particularly like the rear tinted glass, and did search for a car without for a while, but it does have its uses, especially when you're carrying stuff in the boot without the parcel shelf in place. I also understand that it's a desirable 2nd hand option, so perhaps worth bearing in mind.

As for the drugs references, so few cars these days are without privacy glass, I really think it's a bit out of date. Maybe back in 1995! 2024 Range Rover P550e AB

For the record guys,,, the tinted windows and drugs reference was a joke.. Very Happy Very Happy As mentioned above, I have nothing against tinted windows and I see the benefits and why people have them, I just do not like them on a green car personally speaking. For me it does not look so good. That is all Very Happy I was simply asking if it can be removed. 2011 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 TDV8
