Well took the 4.4 TDV8 for a drive today , very impressed with the power of the new engine combined with the ZF 8 speed gearbox , steering is a bit on the light side.

With it being late in the afternoon traffic was a bit on the busy side so it was a case of very seldom getting it by 30mph , until we hit a stretch of the M74 where upon joining it i was told to try the acceleration , which i have to say is fast .

Also the kick-down can accelerate pretty quick too , but it did still feel a bit floaty /rolly at times.

One thing that did bother me was the material or lack of it they use now in the seats it just felt as if i had got into a drivers seat that was maybe 5 year old as the side bolster was kind of lacking in padding.

The one i drove was Nara Bronze with ivory leather seats and Cherry wood ..........

But they have one in the showroom A Vogue with Mudflaps, Running Boards, Half wooden steering wheel, illuminated tread plates, which is available with 4 miles on the clock and in Baltic Blue for £73k ... Now does the Head rule the Heart or Vice Versa ...... Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

But compared to this for £10k Less with all the Bits .............. Banging Head Laughing Laughing

They look sooooo nice in the showroom, that's why I don't go in...otherwise I would be on a finance agreement with a brand new one...

Interesting about the seats...

Been doing that for a while though...
The seats in my 06 were more comfortable that the ones in my 08. Confused

Baltic Blue and light leather... I'd have probably ended up in the finance club with iT LAD. But with more on the never never. Whistle
