03 l322 hse entertainment upgrade?

Hi
Have just purchaced an 03 hse with original head unit.
The cd changer has a cartridge jammed in it and a specialist has told me it is impossible to get it out.
I would like to upgrade the original system and wonder what is available still retaining the mpg display etc,
And having a possible input for an I pod.
Someone has told me about a Pioneer SPH DA 120, has anyone had any experience of these?

Regards

Mark

that is bull, you can get the cartridge out with some fiddling and jiggering, its more likely a disc has jammed and not gone back into the cartridge and at the worst take the unit out whip of the top and you will see, very easy V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

Search out the Android replacement head unit thread, a good starting point, though most have replaced the Vogue colour screen BordMonitor option, but changing the MID out shouldn't be too far a conversion. .

The MID can be moved into the glovebox, so you can retain all the functions and adjust the clock, that will then leave you space to fit something like this http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic27033.html

There are several variations on that design, with different levels of function... Whistle if you want ipod then it might pay to look at the cheaper non android units, as they have dedicated ipod connections Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Tried the easy option and gave it a clump whilst pushing the eject button!!!
On the 10th attempt the cartridge shot out. Thumbs Up
Will be looking at a full upgrade and keep you posted.

Thank you all for your help.
