When my 2004 car had a flat battery it would not start on jumpleads, we called LR Assistance who told the recovery technician what needed to be done. I wasn't on that part of the call, but I think when the battery gets to a certain (low) level the system immobilises itself, 'thinking' the battery has been disconnected as part of an attempted theft. The solution seemed to involve shorting out the system to re-set it, but I couldn't say exactly what was done. Try calling LRA 0800 521 786, they advised in my case even though I hadn't had LRA since the warranty expired over 4 years before, if no-one else can tell you what to do. Only Range Rovers since 1988

Did you try the touching battery terminal connectors together (pos lead and neg lead when off the battery) trick to reset the ECUs ? Sounds like the same as "shorting the system"? .

An update on this! I left the battery disconnected over night and followed connection procedure and it started but the same has happened today it won't start just keeps turning over!! All the faults coming up ie: suspension inactive hdc dsc all staying on or flashing up in lcd. Just put a fresh battery on and still won't start. Disconnected again and will see what happens in the morning when I reconnect!!! If anyone has had the same issue please let me know.

Sounds like a possibly bad connection to the engine ecu or the battery is just dropping enough to cause an issue FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Just a thought, could it be a dodgy receiver / transmitter for the transceiver chip in the key?

And the other thing is what exactly did you have cleaned? did it include the engine bay? might just be a case of drowned ECU Shocked Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!
